Timothy Hessinger
Most former prosecutors worked for the State Attorney for three years or less and obtained only minimal or no experience handling high profile cases. Timothy Hessinger was at the top of his game when he left the Pinellas County State Attorney's office. He had just been named 2004 Prosecutor of the Year for his professionalism and demonstrated results in the Major Crime Division.
Since founding Hessinger and Kilfin Law in February 2005, Tim's law firm has effectively defended hundreds of people on the same criminal charges he formerly prosecuted. He constantly uses his experience with the State Attorney's office and Tampa Bay area law enforcement and channels all of his trial experience and insights into the vigorous representation of those who stand accused.
Donald Kilfin
As Tim's criminal defense practice rapidly grew, it was time to bring aboard another attorney with similar credential and passion for justice. Donald Kilfin likewise served as a Pinellas County prosecutor, for six years, before joining Hessinger Law. Don has handled minor and major criminal offenses, including prosecution of capital murders (death penalty cases). He and Tim work cases together to achieve the best possible outcome for their clients.
